Each week, we'll have different questions pertaining to different storylines and characters in all HP books and this thread is all about discussing our opinions on these. Please note the following reminders for this thread:

The Craze for Harry Potter

There was so much demand and craze for the series that when Harry Potter and the \Prisoner of Azkaban was to be released, the publisher asked that the boos not not be sole until schools were closed for the day in order to prevent children from skipping class.

Biased to Neville? And in any case Neville's in Gryffindor, Harry's house, so I think it doesn't matter.

The points are still awarded to Gryffindor, Harry's house, so to me it doesn't matter if it's given to Neville at the last minute because it benefits Gryffindor. Sure, the trio killed the troll and they should've been rewarded instead of Neville but I wanted Neville rewarded for his brave efforts since he'll be overlooked by Dumbledore surely as he seems to favor the trio more.

Also Dumbledore awarded a lot of points to Gryffindor. He does favor the house because Harry is sorted there.

I think Dumbledore had a soft spot for all three of them; however, he valued Harry on a much higher level.

Similar to Emma Watson's buck teeth failure, Daniel Radcliffe was given green contact lenses to match his appearance in the books, but he had an allergic reaction to the lenses. They cancelled the green eyes and proceeded.

Back then, race wasn't a big issue aka no one spoke up about it. If the HP movies were made today, then they would get some backlash on the casting considering the UK is also diverse.
