Tonk's hair is supposed to be pink according to the books, but it was made purple since pink was so heavily associated with Umbridge. Who knew pink could be so evil?

It was purple in the movies, Steph! We just talked about this. Although they did release some promo photos where Tonks' hair was pink.

The Importance of Colour

Throughout the series, two common colours shown are red and green. Red is typically linked to good while green is linked more with evil. Some examples of this include House Gryfffindor being read and shown as the protagonish house while Slytherine is shown more as an antagonist house. Additionally, Avada Kedavra, the Killing Curse, is green in colour while Expelliamus, the Disarming Curse, is red in colour.

So why is Ravenclaw blue and Hufflepuff yellow? Why are the house colors like the Windows logo?

Are these the 20th anniversary edition your husband got? I want to buy the Jim Kay illustrated editions. They're expensive plus I'll have double of everything but they are so pretty and I'm really succumbing to the idea of buying them already.

The masks are wonderful! I like the Marauders Map design most of all.

Not quite, the ones he is getting don't have the coloured covers, just the coloured pages and they have them for each of the Houses. He has the Griffindor collection (well part of them as they aren't all released yet from what I understand)
