Then perhaps during their teenage years, that's when Andromeda saw things differently. I would love to read an extensive fic for these sisters until their teenager years.

I wonder how Narcissa & Andromeda reacted to Bellatrix' death? Andromeda might have been estranged from her but I'm curious if her death had any impact on her.

I think Narcissa would have grieved. For Andromeda, I think her reaction to Bellatrix's death would have been a billion times more complicated. I think she grieved for the person she was once close to and loved. However, I don't think she was sorry to see Bellatrix, as she was in 1998, gone. Particularly, since Bellatrix murdered her daughter, & everything Bellatrix stood & fought for ended her husband's life (I have my suspicions that Bellatrix actually murdered Ted too; since Ted & Dean were traveling together, & Dobby rescued Dean from Malfoy Manor.).

I think this quote "I miss who we once were. I don't miss who (s)he became." sums up Andromeda's feelings about Bellatrix.

I think I heard it when I was watching TV, but I can't remember which show or if I just heard something similar, and then twisted it in my head to fit the Andromeda/Bellatrix situation.

I'll post an Andromeda and Molly fanfic in the Andromeda thread that touches on Bellatrix, but focuses more on her grief for Ted and Dora & Molly's grief for Fred.

Here's an Andromeda and Narcissa fanfic, Five Times, that spans from after Andromeda left to four years after the 2nd war.

Sure, she resembled Bellatrix but there was nothing similar about them. Ted was aware of this fact. When he first met Andromeda in third year, he had spent months looking at her from a distance. She had a beauty that he thought shone much more brightly that Bellatrix’s and Narcissa’s. She was beautiful outside and inside. Andromeda was much more like Sirius than her sisters. This was what the other two lacked. Andromeda didn’t stick up her nose when Ted spoke to her. She never called him a mudblood. She never hurt anyone, even though Ted knew she had the ability and the skill to do so. The Black Sisters never made much sense to Ted. They were always bickering with each other, they didn’t have a sisterly bond. They were hardly ever together. To Ted, they didn’t seem like a family at all. Never in a million years did Ted think that they would be his sister-in-laws.

Yay thanks! I will find time to read this. I agree on Narcissa's reaction. I'd like to say Andromeda was more conflicted but she's definitely not-so sorry because of what Bellatrix has become.

I like this head canon post. Narcissa/Bellatrix might have been so upstanding and Andromeda is nothing like them. I would love to get insider her head and know what she felt that time.
