Three and a half pages in and now we're looking at a new DADA teacher.

So much for me avoding spoilers these past months. Between editing people the past few days, especially today, I know the whole book but I'm reading it anyways!

Well... I've already been spoiled today. But that's what you get for being a mod.

I've only just started reading and I'm on page 13 now... (was shocked to see the book didn't start with Harry at the Dursleys!)

I was also shocked that it didn't start with harry at the Dursleys humble abode. That's how they always start! I suppose she couldn't start with Harry and then get back into what she really started with and not have Harry involved. Did that make any sense?

I'm tired... I'm going to read more and frame the painting I did for my friend and then read some more and then go to a party around 1pm EST. Sounds like a lovely day

I guess "Spoiler" sign isn't needed here so:
Bill and Fleur....Gettin Married? Not sure how to feel about that. I laughed at Ginny calling Fleur names and Molly trying to get Tonks to dinner because she hoped Bill wouild fall for her

Percy not talking to his family? Aw. Percy, C'mon. *huggles the guy*

I'm still on chapter 12 though. I loved Chapter 5, it was some what funny ^^ Draco's Detour was interesting too.

Fleur is coming off as annoying- but I have to say I like the way JKR brought her back...

hmmm...i'm still undecided about the new DADA guy. He might be a good DADA teacher, but as a person, we just don't know yet. although, Dumbledore wants him there, so that gives me some faith. also, i think that Dumbledore wanted Harry to meet the new DADA teacher early as well as for the purpose of trying to pursuade him. Harry and Dumbledore, i think, have some trust issues to work out. i think they'll be spending a lot of time together in the book, especially considering the cover art.

i also like to see how well Harry is coping with the loss of Sirius. it's hard for him, but he's doing very well so far.

i was a little surprised that Harry told Ron and Hermione about the prophecy so early, but i think it was the best way to go. he is clearly growing up. i love how Ron and Hermione will stand by him through anything and everything.

Bill and Fleur are engaged!!!

OMG!! i never found her really annoying before, but i guess if she was living with me for a few weeks, she would start to get to me. but it's still cute how Ron is sort of still all googly over her.

i was glad that they visited Fred and George so early. it was great to see them, and to see that they are doing so well.

i'm sure we'll see them again through the book.

and Draco...oh my dear Draco. i want so badly to believe that he's not all bad, but really, he's not helping himself. it's like, "good lord, kid, just do one think that doesn't make you an arse!" but my one ray of hope in this situation is Narcissa. she was so different when we first saw her in this book to how she was in the robe shop, which makes me believe that there are times when Draco is different as well. if Narcissa can go from crying over her son to threatening Harry, Draco can make a change as well. god, i would love to really get into this kid's head!

Harry's Death Eater theory is scarring me though...

but i loved how Hermione just went into the shop and tried to find out what had happened. it was very cool of her.

oh yeah, and Harry is Quidditch captain!! how totally awesome is that?!?!!

New DADA... Intresting character i dont think I will have an opinion on him until I see him next.

Sam I too still have hopes for Draco.

and props to hermione for going into that shop, though like Ron said she was a little obvious

I probably jsut would have kept pointing everything out to buy until he said 'that isn't for sale'

I thought that was what she was going to do, but for being such a smart girl, she didn't seem it in that shop, LOL.

And Harry's theory has me convinced. I think Draco is a Death Eater. He's still being a cruel and pretentious boy. We'll see.

On a brighter note, I love the fact that Harry, Ron and Hermone spent so many time together at the Weasleys. Their friendship is what I look after the most when I read the books

Interesting how the character of Gimmy seems to have developed from one book to another. Seems like she is a very popular and pretty girl, so diferent from the first time we met her, isn't it? I'm glad for her.
