It all brought such a tear to my eye. Ron and Hermione's devotion to Harry is so touching. I wonder what will happen to Hogwarts it just won't be the same without Dumbledore.

wow. what an amazing book. i loved it.

i can't believe what happened to dumbledore. it's just too sad.

i am very intrigued, however, about their next year. it sounds very exciting, and very different. i think it will be a very unique book.

i can't believe i've finished it. only took 3 days!

JK, you are amazing!

I wonder if Ron and Hermione are actually going to go with Harry...I mean are their parents really going to allow it? I'm sure Mrs. Weasley will say take someone else instead.

I'm also wondering why wasn't Dumbledore's brother at the funeral? I mean he named all these people he saw, why didn't he recognize him or at least the similar features?

Lastly hats off to Mrs. Rowling.

JK is so amazing. That was my favorite book so far, and I'm sure she'll make book 7 even better.

RIP Dumbledore

The ending was so different, it made me a bit nostalgic because it wasn't the usual ''end of the school year!'' kinda thing...the war is REAL now, next year will be totally different...

*sigh* what an amazing book. I can't get over these last chapters. I almost cried.

Dumbledore's brother was at the funeral. He was mentioned. I can't believe that they won't go back to Hogwarts. What about Ginny? What about Harry becoming an Auror? He's tried so hard, recieved all the grades he wanted and then he's just going to drop it all? I don't think he made the right decision.

CONGRATULATIONS, JKR, ON A WONDERFUL BOOK!

Just had to say that.

I cried during the funeral, but I, like Harry, don't think it was the kind of funeral that Dumbledore deserved. It should have been fun and kooky... they would have done better to have a big party than a sad funeral. And I loved the appearance of the white tomb.

As for Harry and Ginny splitting up.... I have faith that they'll get back together. Ginny is a very strong young woman and she won't let Harry keep them apart for long. I love how she worded it, ''It's for some stupid, noble reason, isn't it?'' (602). She took it well. Good for Ginny.

Honestly, I hope Harry and the trio go back to school next year. I think he needs it, at least for part of the year, to be able to defeat Voldemort.

AHH!!! The saddest part of the book. Dumbeldore's funeral was so depressing. I wanted to go punch someone when it said that Umbridge was there. I wanted her to stay in the Forbidden Forest with the centaurs, but what can you do. It's gonna be weird not having Book 7 in Hogwarts. Harry's become so determined. I'm so proud of him!

I creid the second time I read this. But I also came awya with the strangely uplifting feeling of "everything's gonna be all right." Espically when the centurs and merepeople did their tribute.

But the best part was Harry. I'm SO proud of him times a zillion. Gone is the sulky, sour typical "teenager" of book 5. He's grown up. I'm SO proud of him.

"Dumbledore will never truly be gond from this school until none here are loyaly to him" said Harry smiling in spite of himself.

I was like YES! go Harry!!!

We're all dumbledore's people through and through .

Julia, you are so right about Harry growing up! I noticed that all throughout the book, definitely, but nowhere was it more obvious than in that last chapter. I was SO proud of him. (Is it possible to be proud of a fictional character? Cause I am.) He showed incredible determination, bravery, and maturity.

I think the end of the book was just pure brilliance. I really loved it, I think it is my favorite part of the HP series ever. It's so emotional and bittersweet, as people are united in Dumbledore's death. Harry realizes what he has to do now and the trio continues to stand together. At the end I'm really excited for the next book, despite being so sad about Dumbledore. She offers hope at the end, just like she does at the end of all her books. Very well done, JK.
