Perhaps they were showing that Dumbledore has finally got a firm and definite confirmation that Voldemort succeeded beyond even what he could fathom and he was just vocalizing it outloud to another person (that being Harry) for the first time.
I LOVED the moment where Harry touched the ring. That got such a reaction from those in the audience who you could tell had read the book. Those that hadn't didn't even notice. But they will when they see how it all connects in the last film. __________________
