Yeah I'd be surprised if he actually went through with it and I think not being able to kill Dumbledore shows that Draco has some good in him.

I think Dumbledore & Snape knew that Draco wasn't gonna do it. And Snape made that hard decision to kill Dumbledore instead.

It also effectively seals Snape's loyalty to Voldemort and the Death Eaters so they had no idea he was a "double agent".

Yeah, in essence he is a "bad guy" but that seems to be debatable as I know some fans don't like Snape. But if you'll make me choose between Snape & Peter, I'd hate Peter more because he really betrayed his friends. Snape didn't really "care" for Harry, one might argue, and only did because of Lily but he still could've been adamant and not help him even if he cared for Lily. It was ultimately Snape's choice in the end and he died with that choice.

Exactly.
 Peter didn't even have second thoughts about betraying his friends and it was too late. James died, Sirius got arrested and thankfully Remus escaped any harm.__________________

Yeah, exactly.. I mean, I have see some say that Snape was worse than Peter.. But I felt that Snape have to put that act in-front that people can think that he's truly "loyal" to Death Eater??
