Gringotts AE #17: Yay, the paperback is out! No more hardback injuries!

Welcome to the 17th Aussie Embassy Thread!

Banner by Satay Chicken. Title honours to Tan. Hardback injuries can have leave lasting physical and emotional scars. So save on hospital and shrink bills, and buy the OotP paperback!

Ohhhh, so that's what HB stands for. I feel strangely dumb right now. Thanks for the clear-up and the new thread, Kat!

Oh, can you change my screen name in the opening post, hon? Thanks!

If anyone wants to know, Dymocks sells the paperback copy for about $15 and K-Mart sells it for $13, thus saving you a grand total of 2 dollars which would buy you a bottle of Coke or something.

Don't worry lovie, it took me a double take to get it too. That's why I thought it best to put the full word in the title. You're most welcome, on both counts.

Sure thing. I'll get on to that now!

Thanks for the heads up on the price diffs. I've bought all my HP paperbacks from Kmart, except one. Every dollar makes a difference!

You guys are naughty , you opened the thread too early. Tut tut .

Also, can the person that hosts the images make it smaller please? So that it doesn't stretch the page.

Thanks

p.s. me living across the Tasman means that I can be mean to you

Gee, I'm so sorry, Ben. I opened it really late last night and could have sworn we'd clocked up 250. Obviously not, and I really do need glasses!

Sarah hasn't been posting much lately. But I can fire her a PM to see if she reponds. If not, I'm happy to resize it myself.

Careful now, you don't want us hopping on a plane to hunt you down for that.

Okay!

Wow, I'm going to SA. So it's a possibility. Though I doubt you are going to be where I'm staying for most of the time.

I'm going to be in Adelaide most of the time, which I've been told it stupid of me. But I want to meet someone so I don't really care if there's nothing to do there. I'm going to Melbourne for a couple of days as well.

That'll just make it easier! I feel a CoS quote coming on: "...fresh meat, when it wanders so willingly into our midst"!

My Dad's from Adelaide originally. It's true, there's not a whole lot in the way of tourist attractions, but it does have lovely beaches.

I love living in Melbourne, with the exception of our chilly weather. But being a New Zealander, it'll probably feel sub-tropical to you anyway, right? Get ready to do some serious shopping. It's what we're known for.

Shopping sounds so right for me. I'm going to have to save up a heap load I think. I still have to pay back my dad for the flight.

Yeah it's so cold here at the moment. And my friend in Adelaide is always complaining and I'm like 'What's the temp?' and she says say 15, and I'm like 'That's HOT!' . You Aussie's are such wimps in the cold .

I'm forever spending money I don't have.

No way! 15 is freezing. And 11 is frickin' freezing! You're right, we are wimps. We like our blistering 40C summer temps. I'm counting down the months till I defrost...

I was originally going to go in June/July, but I changed it. I'm glad I did now, because warmer weather sounds good to me. While I love the cold, I hate waking up to it in the mornings.
