I did feel annoyed when I read for the first time Harry's attraction to Cho and how Ginny at first felt miserable and then I became less annoyed when I saw how their relationship going. And on the other side, Ginny showed her true colors which Harry notices subconsciously till HBP. So, yeah I'm okay with what Jo did as for both Harry and Ginny to be more mature concerning their relationship towards each other.

I agree. It could have been written badly but it wasn't. Sure, I know some fans argued that Jo didn't really write a good love story in the books and I can agree to that extent but the books aren't about a love story between H/G or R/Hr. And even if she did write about them, she didn't go the irritating route of creating a love triangle just for the canon couples to end up together. All things considered, I liked how the canon couples were handled.

May be we needed more H/G scenes cause not every one get it..every one had eyes on H/Hr, you know because she's the leading female and the most female character who interacted with Harry so no one paid attention to those little clues Jo subtly implanted in Ootp paving the way to Ginny as a love interest..May be Jo needed to throw more obvious clues. But I agree with you that this is not a love story so we've as readers explore every ting detail about romance relationships.

I also don't like the cliched story of "the hero gets the girl", in this case was Harry & Hermione. Which is precisely why I liked Ron/Hermione more. Admittedly I was on the fence with H/G and they weren't my primary ship but I'll take them because there were obvious hints in the books early on.

I always thought Hermione is more suitable for Ron than Harry. You know like Arthur and Molly. They complete each other on the other side, Harry needs a fighter, funny and comforting girl who in his time of need not cry but stand strong to give him courage and fully support him. If you remember H/G breaking up scene was magnificent despite of course the fact of their breaking up.

Actually, That was literally the best scene of the whole relationship because that's when the reader was dead sure of How Ginny and Harry really understand each other, Ginny knows Harry and knows that it's his destiny to fight Voldemort and she accepted it willingly because she believes in him.

Thanks for bringing all those book quotes.

Those really showed the great relationship H/G had in the books. Like what was mentioned, Ginny had a mature way of handling things and that kind of person suits well with Harry.
