But do we know if Newt is a brunette or blonde? Because I'm kind of warming up to the idea of Arthur Darvill playing him. He can do brunette too actually.

Hmm, that would make sense Emily. He was born in the 16th century and he is too old around the time of 1940.

Lindsay, I think Professor Dippet decided that he wasn't ready for life as a retired person. I'm guessing a lot of Ministry people thought he was too old for the job, & that's why he had to re-apply. Or maybe, he decided to take a sabbatical 4 years in a row & didn't have to re-apply.

I'm sorry, but Leaky News completely misinterpreted what this new film series is going to be about. It's not an adaptation of Fantastic Beasts; it's inspired by it, but will be an entirely original story and will likely be structured in the sake fashion as her HP novels and the films adapted from them.

As stated before, everyone in the fandom is already very much aware that the book is a reference book and not a novel in which most books are adapted to the screen. The film WILL include Fantastic Beasts so therefore its relevant as apart of an adaptation of the original work. Much will be created in terms of plot but the subjects in the book will be addressed and included.

I think most of the fandom know this by now. And it is okay to speculate this early seeing as we have nothing to go by for now. We're all going by what we know so far and the information JKR has provided. I do find it interesting the sequels they've speculated on but we'll know for sure once the movie is out.
