They have been through so much in Hogwarts. That hug in the last gif though.

Yeah
+ I think we didn't see that hug on the movies, I can't remember. It was one of the best H/R moments __________________

That Harry/Ron gifset, I can't even!
They meant the world to one another. Just read the scene where they met for the first time on the Hogwarts Express. They took to one another instantly, and you knew they were going to be bonded for the rest of their lives. Little do Harry and Ron know now that one day they'll become brothers through Harry's marriage to Ron's sister. |

It was all so new back then. I mean even I didn't know they were going to be brothers-in-law from reading SS. But as we've read more books, their friendship just grew so by the time they fought in GoF, it was really disheartening to read.

Yeah, it was particularly heartbreaking to see Harry and Ron at odds in GoF.

And it had to happen again in DH with them fighting. I think I was more distraught from their fight in DH than GoF because I had no idea when HHr will see Ron again.

Yeah, I think the fight and separation in Deathly Hallows was harder to deal with because as you said, we had no idea if Harry would ever see Ron again. I'm glad Ron was able to return to Harry with help from the Deluminator.

Whereas the fight in GoF, we know that at least Ron is still around and I thought he just needed to get over feeling sorry and insecure himself. The fight in DH was much deeper.

Exactly, Lindsay. I am so glad Ron was able to return to them and they had such a heart-warming moment together.
I like the bottom image of Harry and Ron, just hanging out in the hallway during their break 6th year. |

Those gifs are amazing especially the first one. I had always liked PS for showing us H/R first steps towards their lovely friendship.

I love that they were already best friends by the time they got off the train. Those couple hours spent on the Hogwarts Express really solidified their friendship. I know Harry didn't have any friends before meeting Ron, but I wonder if Ron had any friends before meeting Harry or if he was just stuck with his siblings.
If so, I imagine that final year with Ginny could get frustrating at times. But I also like to believe they were also best friends that one year without Fred and George around, before Ron went to Hogwarts. |

I think Ron was mostly stuck with his siblings and wanting to have a friend too. So it was really a case of being at the right place and right time for these two. I think one of the most memorable moments in SS/PS is their first meeting at the Hogwarts Express. I mean just reminiscing about it now makes me a bit emotional.

Yeah, I imagine the experience was brand new for Ron as well as he probably didn't have any friends outside his six siblings. I definitely love the beginning of Harry and Ron's friendship, how one was fascinated with the other. It's like every relationship, romantic or platonic, at the beginning. You're just taken by the other. I am so happy Harry and Ron became lifelong friends, even if they had a few bumps along the way.
