Yup! That's why it's called extended edition. I watched the movie for 1 day and the special features for another day. So 2 days to finish 1 movie for me.

I loved the movies so I was never bored. Plus the special features are amazing. Especially on the very last movie where they were all emotional. It took them 2 years to shoot all 3 movies. They were in NZ and barely saw their friends & family.

Unfortunately, HP doesn't have Extended Editions because if they did, I would've bought them already.

They do have the Collectors Editions with more special features than the regular DVDs.
