Fans will remember number four, privet drive as the muggle home where harry spent most of his childhood with his aunt petunia, uncle vernon and cousin dudley. During production, set decorators were tasked with filling the house with quirky pieces of furniture and had lots of fun sourcing the ugliest sofas, worst tiles and most unattractive curtains possible which will be on display in the dressed set.

Also on display for the first time in the studio tour will be the dursleys’ costumes which proved to be a rich source of inspiration for costume designer judianna makovsky. She remembers them being the most fun to dress, creating clothes that appeared out of date and pretentious for mr and mrs dursley, as well as hideous jumpers for young dudley.

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. recently trademarked the name 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child', and this can include rights to everything from films to merchandise. The trademark was set in the U.K. though the company listed is Warner Bros. in the U.S., the production company behind the first eight Harry Potter movies.

Please note that this is by no means confirmation that there will be Cursed Child film(s), and that Warner Bros. is probably too busy with the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movie trilogy to jump-start the continuation of the Harry Potter theatrical installments.

Author J.K. Rowling did say months ago that it would not be adapted for film, but as history has shown with the author, minds can be changed. Daniel Radcliffe, star of the first eight movies, also said he would consider returning to play Harry dependent on the quality of the script.

Between 15th October and 4th November, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter is giving fans a final opportunity to see the best of the year so far. The Studio Tour is bringing back the favourite props and costumes as voted for by fans on social media. The favourites will be returned to the Tour as a special feature to celebrate 15 years since the cinematic release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Fans voted in their thousands to bring back a favourite from this year’s half-giant Hagrid feature; Hagrid’s deconstructed costume. This specially designed version of Hagrid’s costume even incorporated a cooling system to help body double Martin Bayfield cope with the heat during long days of filming. Visitors will see the tubes which were hand-stitched into the fabric that had cold water running through them to bring down the temperature.

Our interactive special effects ‘UP’ broomstick was also chosen by fans. Visitors will be able to stand next to the broomstick, shout ‘UP’ just like a Hogwarts student, and watch the broomstick fly into their hands.

In addition, the iconic Great Hall set, as seen in all but one of the Harry Potter films, will be dressed for the occasion with a section of its long tables laden with a Hallowe’en feast including red apples, pumpkins and cauldrons of lollipops. Eagle-eyed visitors will also spot the costume of Defence against the Dark Arts Professor Quirrell. Voldemort’s face was digitally added to the back of Quirrell’s head and a model of this can be found in the Creature Effects area.

This will also be the last chance for visitors to see the original Sorting Hat and stool in the Great Hall and peer into the Dursleys’ living room as the exterior set of number four, Privet Drive is re-opened especially for the Studio Tour’s 15th anniversary celebrations of Harry’s first year at Hogwarts.

Highlights include walking through the Great Hall where so many famous scenes were shot, seeing the treasures stored in Dumbledore’s office and strolling down Diagon Alley. Tickets must be pre-booked at www.wbstudiotour.co.uk or by calling the Studio Tour’s Visitor Services Team on 0345 084 0900 and cannot be bought at the attraction.
