At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Depp) was captured by MACUSA
(Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Redmayne).
But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most
unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.
In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander,
who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even
among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

You're welcome. :)

We're getting this movie on Netflix in the 16th but part 1 isn't available over here anymore.

fly me to the moon 01-08-2021 05:20 PM

Really? I guess that some movie was like that in here too..

L i N d $ @ y 01-10-2021 12:06 AM

I didn't know about it until I looked for movies of Jude Law to watch and then I was surprised to see part 2.

fly me to the moon 01-10-2021 05:26 PM

At least that was good thing that they show part 2 on it..

L i N d $ @ y 01-11-2021 01:01 AM

I remember being excited when we found out about this prior to watching part 2. But ngl, Nagini was underutilized in the movie. :(

fly me to the moon 01-12-2021 05:03 PM

Yeah, and I tho that we would get some background on Nagini.. But nope..

L i N d $ @ y 01-13-2021 01:09 AM

Me too! But all we got from her was that she's friend of Credence and that's basically it.

fly me to the moon 01-14-2021 05:10 PM

I know right.. I was like what's the point to have her there and not showing the backstory on her??

L i N d $ @ y 01-15-2021 01:54 AM

Especially since Nagini is a familiar "creature" from HP. It's kind of like with Nicolas Flamel in part 2. Another HP familiar character but was only added for an OMG moment and nothing else. :look:

fly me to the moon 01-15-2021 05:29 PM

Oh yeah, I forget about Nicolas.. Was he supposed to be dead?

L i N d $ @ y 01-16-2021 02:02 AM

Yes but also...

Quote:

Nicolas Flamel (c. 1326 – c. 1992) was a French wizard and famed alchemist who was the only known maker of the Philosopher's Stone, a legendary substance with incredible powers. He was a close friend and partner with former Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore. He owed his considerable age to the Elixir of Life, which was produced from the Stone, along with his wife Perenelle. He was well over six hundred years old as of 1992, being one of the oldest wizards in history.

fly me to the moon 01-16-2021 04:43 PM

Ahh, thank you for that info..

L i N d $ @ y 01-17-2021 02:22 AM

So it was okay to bring back Flamel in part 2 since they were in France. What I still don't get is McGonagall and Nagini. :look:
