LOL Ryan Murphy thinks he's doing that much but he's also writing LGBTQ in a stereotypical way. I think the only show I genuinely like from him is Pose.

Right? It's like "Hey we're diverse and we have LGBTQ!" but then they're all side characters and propped up to support the main white actor who is LEAD.

Yes, I agree w/ you on stereotypical that Ryan did.. I need to see Pose but glad that show was on Hulu.. Also, actually two of his show have LGBTQ and diverse, but we rarely to see them being couples.. On one of the show that have two couples are interracial, but we rarely see them talk and all that, but just lovey unlike we see white couples who take so much on screen and talked about skin cares.. And other gay interracial, we don't see the development, but they are serious couple which we don't see any on screen.. Even tho his show always have white cast who have more storyline while PoC always supporting and got no development, I don't know their background and all that.. It just..



But my gosh, I wish that we have director AND creator who actually CARE about diverse and LGBTQ.. I just can't trust anyone who are white that all about Diversity and LGBTQ.. Nah..

Also Ryan's white so he's writing LGBTQ experiences based on his life experiences as a gay white man. We still need a lot of improvement to finally get legit and real stories about LGBTQ and POC if you ask me.

Pose is much better. There aren't a lot of white people on that one (though they did for a while back in S1 which was annoying) and it's about the struggles of the trans community who are the most marginalized from the LGBTQ community no matter what race. It's so touching and sad with a really good cast.

Oh yeah, that comment, I definitely agree w/ you bec I feel like having Poc as gay/bi/lesbian/others can be better to write for PoC who have experiences in LGBTQ.. But from someone mention that Ryan tend to focus on young white actor who always praise which I started to notice that pattern.. I was like please, not this guy like other director..

THey need to stop focus on white cast when you have PoC (honestly, I felt like PoC can really act better unless if white actor/actress been acting longer).. How many season Pose had?

IKR? And that's a true criticism of Ryan which I've also heard before. And yeah, if you give me a new TV show that's full of white cast these days, I'm most likely not gonna watch it.

Pose has 2 seasons. S1 with 8 eps and S2 with 10 eps. The white cast from S1 was needed in the SL so I can excuse it.

Ahh, no wonder.. Thanks for that.. Good to know even tho I never understand why they need to put the white cast in front and center when there are amazing PoC who can act good..

The white cast were James Van Der Beek, Kate Mara and Ryan's protege, Evan Peters. By S2, they weren't around anymore so their characters were just a one season arc only.

I feel like Evan's always employed (on TV at least) because of Ryan Murphy. Same with Darren Criss. Plus Ryan's always like this: if you watch his shows, you'll notice some of the actors are "recycled" on his shows, Sarah Paulson is one good example.

I think the actors like it because they're assured of at least one or two more projects c/o Ryan. Plus Ryan's in a contract with Netflix so he's supposed to do movies & TV shows for them which assures actors of a continuous job under his belt.
