Yeah there were moments in the book where I thought it could have gone their way, especially during the Yule Ball. But after that, Ginny dated other boys but Neville. It was sad really.

I really do think Ginny loves Neville deep down, but at some point Neville stopped returning the feelings and Ginny had to bottle it up. A part of me believes she settled for Harry, just to satiate Ron and Hermione.

Yeah. I wonder why JKR paired them in the Yule Ball in the first place. They were the ones that stayed behind and I figure after that night, JKR could've explored more with these two. I wouldn't be surprised if they started dating right after the Yule Ball.

Yeah, I think Neville and Ginny would have begun dating after the Yule Ball. They both seemed to really enjoy themselves in the movies so it makes sense! Plus, they remained close in the years following, so it'd be nice to see two exes remaining friends for the rest of their lives.

I'm definitely not okay with that either. I also don't see Neville as the cheating type nor do I see Ginny either. If they were going to happen, it's because they truly do love each other.
