A long, long time ago there lived a boy named Harry Potter. He had this devastatingly tragic life, all made better by a loyal and trusting rapport he had with his best friend Hermione Granger. Little did they know, the loving friendship they shared would turn into something more because of course, there are some things you can't share without liking each other, and knocking out a 12-foot mountain troll is one of them.

Wow, I feel really honoured that you guys used my thread title suggestion!

I had another H/HR moment yesterday while I was watching Three Colours Blue. The lead character composes a symphony and the chorus contains excerpts from the "Love is patient, love is kind" quote from the Bible. You know the one that goes:

Love is patient, Love is kind,
It does not envy, it does not boast,
It is not proud, It is not rude,
It is not self-seeking,
It is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil,
but rejoices with the truth.

Love always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.

Love bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.

It's a quote that I've seen many Harmonians associate with H/HR. My heart nearly stopped when it came up on the subtitles! These H/HR moments thrill me, yet they're painful as well.

I've been thinking: If we hadn't had OotP, do you think it would have been easier to accept R/Hr? I think so. There was the H/Hr fight over Sirius. It was as if JKR was deliberately contrasting it with the R/Hr Yule brawl and showing how H/Hr worked better as a couple. And there was Hermione's takeover of Harry's conscious and unconscious moments! What was JKR thinking?????

I never realized how perfect that quote is to H/Hr!! Especially this part:

I know how you feel, every time I find evidence of how perfect these two would have been, my heart shatters even more. And no I think I would have still been shipping H/Hr even if OotP scenes did not happen. As one of our previous thread titles had stated: "I'm allergic to canon"

Would I still be shipping H/Hr if OoTP never happened. A lot of people might say yes on this board cause the majority of us where shipping them before book 2 happened lol. But I think for me, OoTP was pretty much like "OK. Harry and Hermione For the Win" even though I was shipping them by the end of GoF.

On a side note, if OoTP didn't happen look at what we would have missed.
