Little did they know, the loving friendship they shared would turn into something more because of course, there are some things you can't share without liking each other, and knocking out a 12-foot mountain troll is one of them.

A new thread...yay!

I just watched the trailer again for about the millionth time...my God does it look amazing!! I can't wait...I think it's going to be the best Harry Potter movie yet, if the trailer is any indication of how utterly amazing it will be.

I had a dream about Harry and Hermione last night, but I can't remember what happened in it. I just know that it was happy...

I still believe there's hope for our duo!

I hope no one minds that I'm bringing this over from the last thread...I thought it was brilliant and deserved to be at the start of this new thread.

I can't understand why JKR has not addressed that fact. Why did she not, in the interview, talk about how she DID write H/Hr as a possibility but only to diguise the pairings she intended? I think the reason for that was because Emerson and Melissa didn't ask. They didn't see it (the H/Hr dynamic) and so JKR was able to avoid the issue and instead made it sound like she never wrote it and instead we should have all noticed the heavy hints and obvious pairings she DID write. There were never any questions about the H/Hr hints that Books 1-5 have in abundance, she didn't have to explain herself. I still say there was a major reason on JKR's part why she invited those two particular webmasters. Mugglenet may be a general HP site but it was well known what Emerson's shipping preference was. And JKR herself admitted to checking out the forums at TLC, she knew as well what the preference was there. Something smells fishy to me.

Ah well, the endless speculation. But if JKR thought she was ending the shipping wars with that interview, I say she was wrong. She only fueled the fire. And she definitely didn't make it "easier" for Emerson and Melissa. Perhaps she miscalculated the passion and the committment of H/Hr shippers. Or maybe those were her intentions all along. I'm still not counting her out...those first five books weren't the abberation, HBP was.

All I know it Harry and Hermione have the potential...always have and it's there in canon, you only have to believe it. You can ignore it if you want but Cho knew, Krum knew, Rita knew, and of course, we've known all along. You can have your little teenage love affairs, Harry and Hermione have a love that runs much deeper and one that they don't even realize they've built.

It just hasn't been their time yet, but it will be.

JKR KNEW she was writing H/Hr. She KNEW what she was writing when she had all that H/Hr screetime in GOF and OOTP, and Cho throwing hissy-fits. Because golly gee, it took her a LONG time to release those books and I imagine that she must have read the text more often than she'd like.

JKR said she had a plan. Some plan she had! But even if her plan was really that screwed over, she still admitted that she does change her mind as she's writing. And she has that right, as she is the author.

Speaking of Krum (aww, the poor guy! After I saw him twirling Hermione in the GOF trailer, I was like SQUEE! Viktor/Hermione is one of my favourite "other" ships), it is very true that when you love and/or admire someone else, you can't stop talking about that person.

Way to go, Herm-own-ninny.
