A long, long time ago there lived a boy named Harry Potter. He had this devastatingly tragic life, all made better by a loyal and trusting rapport he had with his best friend Hermione Granger. Little did they know, the loving friendship they shared would turn into something more because of course, there are some things you can't share without liking each other, and knocking out a 12-foot mountain troll is one of them.

See though, most people thought we hated Ron because of Hermione. Personally, I hated Ron becuase I thought he was acting like a little brat in GoF, and becuase I thought Harry deserved to a Prefect more than he did...

But when I re-read OotP for the millionth time, I found I loved him. And then when I read HBP, I found I'd die for him. I think he was the best part of HBP...

I always thought I'd be able to stand H/G over R/Hr...boy was I wrong! The thought of R/Hr doesn't annoy me at all now; probably becuase after HBP I do think Ron and Hermione deserve each other...(in the high school way, of course

) ). But I'll always have my problems with H/G. Luna would have been a much better choice. But as I am not JKR, what can I say about it?

I can just live in my delusional H/Hr world.

Speaking of which, I am currently reading Lynney's Magic Never Dies over at Portkey (post HBP and very good), and I totally made a R/HR connection, in H/Hr fic!

When Harry goes to fight some DE's, Ron grabs Hermione about the waist and pulls her behind a tree, which totally reminded me of the Good Ship motto... (at least a split second after I thought H/Hr OotP...)

I love my twisted mind.

I love Ron. Wihout him the books woudnt b half a funny IMO. I wonder, if there was a poll of all H/Hr shippers of "do you like/hate Ron" what the majority would be? Cause not everyone does, i mean we dont, i thin its those scary H/hr extremists that are all "we hate ron cause he said this or did that to hermione" or something. (not trying to bash them or anything) he has some redeaming qualities.

I think Ginny/anybodybutharry is a good pairing

I personally LOVE Ron. Seriously, he's a great guy. He's an ass to Hermione at times but he's loyal to the end and would do anything for his friends. I think JKR has done a great job of portraying him as a typical teenage boy and that makes him even more loveable. Plus Rupert is a hottie too

But as for Ginny, don't even start me

I like Ron. He can be really sweet and loyal. I love that he's so real, too, ya know, like Cat said about being a typical teenage boy.

And I think R/Hr is a really cute couple but not as cute as Dad and Mum.

Yay, new thread!! wow, it's been a long time since I posted on here!! Well, I'm at school now and my roommate likes HP so that's good. I don't hate ron, I might dislike him every now and then, but it's like someone said earlier he's just being portrayed as a normal high school boy, so it's all good!!
