A long, long time ago there lived a boy named Harry Potter. He had this devastatingly tragic life, all made better by a loyal and trusting rapport he had with his best friend Hermione Granger. Little did they know, the loving friendship they shared would turn into something more because of course, there are some things you can't share without liking each other, and knocking out a 12-foot mountain troll is one of them.

Hello, Aurors. It's been awhile but I've been lured back from my crazy RL with the looming release of HBP. I accidentally read some spoilers today and one of the spoilers made me laugh because all I could associate it with was something naughty and Auror-ish.

All this spoiler talk is pissing me off. Mainly because I had the box of books right there in front of me 15 days ago and could've easily read the book ahead of time. (I'm sure a lot of you remember me posting about that awhile back in a mad frustration of being tempted.) No one saw the box delivered but me and no one signed for it...who would've known if I'd just taken it? But I did the right thing. I knew it wouldn't be fair to the millions of other fans who are also waiting to read it. So I turned it over to someone in a higher position than me and although it's just been sitting under her desk for the past two weeks, I haven't so much as touched it. And it just makes me mad that I could know already and be the one giving out the spoilers for real. Damn my ethics...

P.S. Anyone that says they've read the book early because they work at a library is either a stinking liar or breaking some serious rules. My coworker that I gave the box to said she was very glad that I'd had the self-control not to open it because she said she practically had to take a blood oath that no one would open it before July 16th. The libraries are following the same rules as everyone else, with just as serious consequences for breaking them.

Very true. I just read our local newspaper and they had a huge article about the security around HBP. Our bookstore owners were told that if they'd break the rules, meaning open the book before July 16th, they would not be delivered with HP books ever again. I highly doubt that with security this tight, so many people could read it AND risk getting sued by broadcasting it all over the internet. Either these people are simply dumb, or they have no idea what they've gotten themselves into. Do you know how easy it is to track people down over the internet?

Wow. Awsome control. I'm sure you will feel even better about yourself when you are sitting down on Saturday reading it. This is good pride. Just think, on saturday you along with millions of others will all be reading at practically the same time.
