speaking of her site, there are some cool stuff there that I feel like posting here

:

1. As we all know, There was a Hippogriff in the Prisoner of Azkaban by the name of Buckbeak who played a fairly major role, to say the least. Now many of us Harry/Hermione fans love the scene near the end of the book where Harry and Hermione flew on Buckbeak, with Hermione clinging to Harry, on a moonlit night no less, to rescue Sirius. Yes, some very nice romantic imagery there.

In The Order of the Phoenix, when Harry has locked himself away during Christmas, Hermione arrives, still wearing her jacket, pink faced from the cold and with snow in her hair and manages to get Harry to open up and go with her. Nobody else was able to even talk to Harry, much less make him open up without protest and follow them. However, what is even more interesting is this. JKR decided to have good old Beaky present in the room!

So what is so significant about this? Well, as it turns out, the Hippogriff is in fact a creature out of Greek mythology. To be more precise, it is the Greek symbol of love. Yes, love.

Furthermore, the Hippogriff of greek mythology is half horse and half Griffin. A Griffin is a creature with the head, beak and wings of an eagle and the body of a lion, sometimes with the tail of a scorpion or a snake. From this we see characteristics that can be taken to represent Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Slytherin - the 3 houses represented by Harry and Hermione. After all, while Harry and Hermione are both Gryffindors, Harry was almost placed in Slytherin (as we found out at the sorting ceremony in The Philosopher's Stone) and Hermione was almost placed in Ravenclaw (as she tells us at the Hog's Head in The Order of the Phoenix) - both because they showed traits of those houses. The lion is the symbol of Gryffindor, the symbol of Ravenclaw is an eagle and the snake is a serpent which represents Slytherin. Convenient coincidence or deliberate writing by JKR? I believe there is too much here for it to be just coincidence, and there are other instances where JKR has used symbolism in her books - and had them work out.

2. In Greek Mythology, Hermione is a Goddess who falls in love with two men. One of them is killed by a snake (Voldermort). Now why would JK choose ''Hermione'' for her name? She could've have chosen a name related to inteligence or bravery. But she chose the name of a goddess who falls in love with two men, which can mean Hermione will fall for Ron and Harry, of one them will die, and she'll be with the other.

3. Cho and Hermione both appeared in Harry's ridiculous dream. Ridiculous as it is, I believe there's a sort of sign. Note that Cho turned into Hermione. I believe this is a sign of a future transition from Cho to Hermione. It is also a transition from childish puppy love to a more mature love. Note that in the dream, Cho was pretty childish, screaming about Harry's promise of Chocolate Frog Cards and then she turned into a mature Hermione, who calmly suggested he (Harry) give her(Cho) his Firebolt.

Just something I want to add to this:

The chocolate frog cards I think can represent Harry's youth- his past, as it were. Just think of the amount of times chocolate frog cards were mentioned in the first two books alone.

His firebolt came at a time where Harry made the transition of growing up, coincidentally the Firebolt appears in the same book as Buckbeak. Hermione knows that this broomstick means very much to Harry as it not only replaced his beloved Nimbus but also it was a present from Sirius.

Anyways the point I'm trying to make here is Cho, like the chocolate cards, are apart of his past- his firebolt, his most beloved posession (which can also be symbollic of his heart) was suggested by Hermione...could this be his subconsious telling him to trust Hermione enough to give her his "firebolt"?

It was very interesting reading. I knew that a Hippogriff symbolised love (squee!) but i wasn't aware that its body parts matched up with the animals that represent the three Hogwarts houses. Which are, as the article states, the houses that are related to H/Hr. Knowing the clever way in which JKR writes, i doubt this is coincidence.

Things just get better for our ship every day!

I just notice from that pic of H/Hr and Rita from Gof. Hermione is giving Harry "dirty look" that he is sparing at Rita....mmmmh?..I think someone is showing some "jealously" and from that pic it look like they are holding hand. Or maybe my eyes are wrong.
