| Elite Fan   | Attention all Harry Potter posters ~ Please Read. We would like to make the following statements, open to all of the posters here. Please read through what we have written, and take time to consider it. Considering recent events, reactions, and feelings, we want to make a few things very clear. First of all, and most importantly, the Harry Potter board is meant to be a friendly, inviting, and fun place to share in our love for the Harry Potter books, movies, and actors/actresses. Anything that takes away from this feeling of community and/or comfort needs to be addressed. Hence the purpose of this post. We want to make it very clear to everyone here that as mods of this board we are responsible for maintaining a fun, friendly atmosphere for all posters. In order for us to do this most effectively, we need your help. If any of you ever has a problem, concern, or question, no matter how big or small, please contact one of the mods about it. We are very interested in what you have to say. It is best to get problems solved right away, instead of letting them build and get more people angry and/or upset. Also, please be aware of and sensitive to the feelings of others. This applies to daily postings as well as the thread titles you choose. Fan Forum is a public place. What you post is put out there for everyone to see, including those of different opinions and ships. Please be respectful of each other and understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, no matter how different it may be from yours. We have both agreed to be more conscious of what we say on the board, and to make sure that all of the ships are treated equally. We are also adamant that all of the posters will be treated with fairness and respect. In return, we also expect respect from all of you. As your mods, we work hard every day to keep this board running smoothly, and the posters here happy. That is, after all, our job. We are equals on this board, and should both be treated kindly. Please know that both of us are always open to hearing any comments/questions/suggestions you have. We will be fair listeners and respondents to all posters. We also request that you keep any arguing/complaining off of the threads as much as possible, and instead, in PMs with a mod, or with whomever you are having a problem. In that case though, remember that inviting in a third party (a mod) can be very useful in problem solving, no matter what the problem is. We want to thank all of you for reading this post, and hope that you will put into practice what we have suggested here. We feel that these ideas and mind sets will be very useful and helpful in making this community a place where everyone feels comfortable and can fully enjoy themselves.
