I never understood the expression 'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free'... why the hell would you buy a cow when you've never tasted the milk? I mean, HONESTLY, what if the milk was sour? How do you even know it's a milk cow?!

Show opening:
Josh: What's going on guys? This is Josh Hartnett making my first ever TRL appearance. I hope you dig it. TRL starts now. Quddus: My next guest,hes been in a lot of films. Today he makes his first visit to TRL. I also want to mention that he is one of People's 50 most beautiful people. Please make some noise ladies and gentlemen for Josh Hartnett. crowd cheers as josh walks on stage, Josh waves shakes hands Q: So listen its your first visit to TRL. Gotta show you how its done, come out to the window, and look how many people came out for you man. This is out in Times square. And there's so many girls out there screaming to come in, do you want to pick out somebody? J: sure, yeah. Q: Lets pick out a girl,alright, or a guy. J: Lets try, lets try that girl back there in the green. Q: In the green, ok. J: With the McDonald's, She can bring me some food I guess. Is that for me (asks girl through the window) Thats for me? Cool. Q: Welcome to the show man, its good to finally have you here. J: Absolutely, its good to be here. Q: We've been on the air for 6 years my man, and you are finally making your first visit. Are you scared of 13 year old girls screaming at you? Is that why you haven't shown up yet? J: Terrified, terrified, petrified. (says jokingly) Q:We really are excited to have you, because its been so long. I mean we haven't had you J: Well its good to be here man. Q: Ok great man. Well I'm gonna ask you a question that we always ask the frist time guests. Its "What kind of music are you listening to?" J: Aw man, I'm listening to like the White Stripes, uh the strokes, yeah yeah yeahs, lot of punk, old Ramones stuff. (Asks crowd) Do you guys ever hear the Ramones?Little before your time? (Crowd cheers) Q: J: I think they just cheer when you tell them to right? Q: yeah right, exactly. J: Q: So we're gonna talk some more about your movie, Wicker Park , which is coming out, and gonna hang some more with Josh Hartnett everybody. Stick around crowd cheers Commercial break Clip shown from Wicker Park Vanessa: Welcome back to TRL. We just checked out a clip of Wicker Park. Josh Hartnett's newest movie. I already saw it, it hits theaters next Friday I loved it, you I'm here right now with the star of the movie himself, Josh. Now Josh I've gotta do this, because during the break I noticed these girls, and I hate to bring you back to the window. J: Its alright V: but they're crying J:Oh... V: Their shirts say "Josh rocks my socks" and their sign says "marry me" Do you have the ring? J: yeah, one of them wants to marry me...she has the license, alright come on up V: Oh my gosh she has a heart attack. J: Thanks you guys V: What a nice guy he is J: I'm kind of a socialist, I think we should bring everybody up. V: No, shhh, we can't do that, I think there's a capacity limit here, which is already full because everybody's excited to see you, we're excited to have you here. J: Hey, thanks for having me here. V: Your new movie Wicker Park, I actually, like I said earlier, saw, loved it, now in the movie of course you play Matt. and you found the girl of your dreams J:yep V: and you fell in love with her, and you asked her to move in with you, and then what happens? J: she ditches me V: J: she leaves me. She moves to another city, she is gone, and I can't find her anywhere. And I'm heartborken. And I chase her for the rest of the movie. V: Every girl's fantasy, yes, absolutely J: Its terrrible. V: Now listen, in Wicker Park, your character, Matt goes to extreme lengths to try and find this girl back. I mean we're talking crazy psycho stuff. But hey, since its you its ok, because everybody loves that. J: blushes/laughs V: But now what have you done in real life, whats the craziest thing you've done in real life to meet a girl? And don't lie (whispers) I swear this is strictly between us. J: ok, uh, I think in when I was in grade school I invited a girl over to play with Star Wars action figures V: haha! Yes! Star wars rocks! J: That sounds pretty crazy. Thats right. V: Did you hook up with her? J: yeah, I was, I was like 6. So yeah, I think she let me hold her hand. V: Do we have like a high school story? J: No, honestly I don't. I don't remember anything. You know I've always been kind of shy when it comes to girls. to tell you the truth. V: Really J: yeah a little bit, aww yeah, look at me I'm blushing. V: The crowd's falling more in love with you. Now listen your costar is Matthew Lillard, which we all know and love here at Mtv and TRL. Hes a crazy guy, always off the wall. Is he serious on set or is he does he act the way we would all think he would act? J: Hes actually way too serious. I mean, hes got, hes funny, but hes got a wife and hes got a kid, he goes home after work, we all went out and drank every night, you know but we were up in Montreal where everything is kind of crazy up there, you know, so we had a good time but Matthew was always home, early. V: Really. So you. were the one holding things down, keeping it real. Very young, grown and sexy. J: Thats right V: Alright you guys Josh Hartnett talking about the new movie. In just a little bit We're gonna try to get to know you a little better, see if you can tell us some deep dark secrets, I promise we'll keep it clean V: (makes an announcement about the next video) J: Alright video plays V: Now, Josh Hartnett is hanging out backstage. It was too hot for him out here. He's sexy. We had to give him a little breather. So we're gonna talk to him more in just a little minute. More videos played... Q: Now we're here with Josh Hartnett, first imte on TRL, and your fans just can not seem to get enough knowledge about you, so we figured we would try to get even more to get all up in your business man. Get to know Josh Hartnett is what we're calling this. J: Laughs/blushes Q:First question is "What does Josh Hartnett do on a typical saturday night?" J:Ooh, I dunno, can I talk about that on Mtv? No uh, I dunno man, we just go out, we go uh, we play a lot of music, we just uh, hang out, like people do. Q: We'll use our imaginations on that one. J: Right, we can't really talk about specifics can we Q: How old were you when you first kissed a girl? J:I don't know, I think I was like two. Honestly. Q: Did that girl happen to be your mamma? I mean two years old... J:Actually, we have a picture of me and this girl Jenny at Christmas time, and I was like two years old. Q: Started young man. J: Thanks man. Q: You're a seasoned veteran. Ok if Josh wasn't an actor, what would he be doing? J: I wanted to be a painter actually. Thats what I wanted to do. Q: Oh really. Have you been doing that as a hobby then, on the side? J: A little bit, but I think architecture is cool too, I dunno, haven't figured it out. What am I going to do when you guys stop watching me? Q:What is your biggest pet peeve? J: Uh, I don't have one man, I think anything anybody wants to do is cool. Q:OK, even the paparazzi is cool with you? J: Alright Paparazzi is my biggest pet peeve. Yeah, we'll go with that. Q o you have a pet?J:I don't, my parents have my dog, Cosmo, I had uh, no I don't have a dog anymore, I had to give it up. Q: Ok, How often do you work out? J: Not very often, but for this movie that I'm doing, I'm playing a boxer, so I have to go into the gym a lot, these days. Q: Wanna flex for the ladies, let them know what you're doing right now?
