Six Degrees of William Sadler

Does anyone know exactly how to play Six Degrees? Because I think it would be really fun here, especially since Bill has played in so many different roles.

Here are the rules I was able to find -- is this it? 'Cuz if is, I'm ready to rumble! :D

1 - Pick a film actor, any film actor.

2 - Link the actor you've chosen to Bill via the movies they've shared with other actors until you end up with William Sadler himself.

So, let's see if I can start this thing rolling -- anyone, link William Sadler to Kenneth Brannagh!

Kenneth Brannagh was in "Much Ado About Nothing" with Denzel Washington
Denzel Washington is in "Julius Caesar with William Sadler :)

Next:

Kevin Costner

Oooh! Tough one! But --

Kevin Costner was in Waterworld with Dennis Hopper, who was in Speed with Keanu Reeves, who was in Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey with William Sadler!

Here's one -- Harold Pinter.

Berengaria 05-22-2005 04:18 PM

Man,I think THIS is a hard one....I can connect Pinter with James Marsters through Geoffrey Rush in The Tailor of Panama.......but a "Bill" connection...hmmm.....this'll take a bit of research.

Ms Carolyn 05-22-2005 05:12 PM

Here's a clue -- it's 2 degrees, and the link is via one of Bill's lesser-known films.

Berengaria 05-22-2005 06:39 PM

Okay,I'm NOT giving up...but you are talking about a working actor with a 30 year career of films behind him...this could take awhile (glad it's only 2 degrees tho) . :D

Harold Pinter - Wit - Emma Thompson

Emma Thompson - My Father the Hero - Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl - Roswell - William Sadler

Meryl Streep

Did you know that William Sadler has a one-degree link with Emma Thompson? They did a britcom together called Assaulted Nuts .

Meryl Streep, huh? Hmm ... gotta work on that one!

GOT IT!

Meryl Streep was in the remake of The Manchurian Candidate with Denzel Washington, who is currently starring on Broadway in Julius Caesar with -- you guessed it! -- William Sadler as Julius Caesar!

Let's go with one of Bill's fave actors -- Robert De Niro.

wanderer78 05-24-2005 09:47 AM

I didn't know that. Harold Pinter played Emma's father in Wit, so I started from there. And Emma was actually wasn't credited in My Father the Hero, but she was in it. :D

Robert DeNiro - Marvin's Room - Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep - The Manchurian Candidate - Denzel Washington

Denzel Washington - Julius Caesar - Bill Sadler

Since her board closed. :( Mandy Moore

Ms Carolyn 05-24-2005 10:10 AM

Oooh! Oooh! I have a good one for this!

Mandy Moore was in the Princess Diaries, which also featured an uncredited voiceover by Rene Auberjonois as the Princess’s father in the letter that he left for her. And Rene Auberjonois was in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, in which William Sadler had a recurring role as Agent Sloan.

Let’s see ... Susan Sarandon?

wanderer78 05-24-2005 10:15 AM

Susan Sarandon - Bull Durham - Tim Robbins

Tim Robbins - Shawshank Redemption - William Sadler

Brooke Shields

Ms Carolyn 05-24-2005 10:27 AM

Easy! She and Bill were in Freaked together.

We need something tougher -- how about Omar Sharif?

wanderer78 05-24-2005 10:39 AM

Omar Sharif - Hidalgo - Viggo Mortensen

Viggo Mortensen - Carlito's Way - Sean Penn

Sean Penn - Mystic River - Tim Robbins

Tim Robbins - The Shawshank Redemption - William Sadler

Alfre Woodard

Ms Carolyn 05-24-2005 10:43 AM

You are GOOD at this!! You're scarin' me!

I gotta go think ...

wanderer78 05-24-2005 10:56 AM

 Six degrees is one of my favorite games. I'm an actor who loves actors. What can I say? :D
