I think he's going for "alienated" . Which I presume means he's from another planet!

Teenagers can be a lot of fun....it's just against the Handbook to let PARENTS know this!

I like teens...I really do. I guess I'm just grumpy because mine hasn't bothered to get a driver's license yet (in spite of having a "learner's permit" for well over a year)...and this means I'm driving him to hisSummer School class at 7:30 AM every day. It's a looong summer...............for us both,I'm sure.

Have you offered him his own car if he gets his license? Extreme, I know, but potentially results-getting!

There is a 96' Ford Taurus sitting in the driveway with his name on it. I have to alternate driving my car with driving "his" so the battery doesn't go bad.
(We didn't actually buy him his own car on purpose,it just worked out that the family ended up with 3 cars). I try to bear in mind that he did eventually get weaned and potty trained...so I guess he'll be driving before he heads off to college next summer. |

hmmm... well, I never wanted my license, either... especially with all of the restrictions they put on them for teenagers (at least here)... and we ended up with 3 cars (not on purpose) as well.. Although, my parents sold that 3rd car GrRrRrrR... said it wasn't safe enough for them to trust it for me.... which I can understand, but still! anyways, back on topic, i could get my permit for 3 months before i actually went in.. and then waited 2 months to activate my permit... then, waited 8 months to even try to schedule my appointment... i just wasn't very motivated to do it... and nothing anyone said could really convince me otherwise... (especially when my dad threatened to make me buy the groceries) until one day i was just like...i'm sick of always having to rely on my parents, besides, they'll like it if they don't have to drive me too... so basically, i had no reason not to, i just didn't care... and eventually i came to my senses... lol.. so, hopefully he'll do the same

Hi,Postman, you are right. We haven't been seeing you around and you were missed! How is the new town working out for you? Still involved in politics? Are you still taking courses in business?
