Bill was once at a Con where a bunch of Fehrians held a picture of Brendan (which was pasted on a fan) in front of their faces. Maybe something sublte like that would work if I did it with Bill's picture at a Harry Potter Con (I'm sure they have those things, right? ) .

We once did an online chat with Bill where he mentioned that all of the "kids" in the cast of Roswell had cell phones, and then he went on to say "and the numbers are ..." He didn't finish the sentence, of course, but you should have seen that chat room errupt!

OMG,I can imagine!

What I can't imagine is what you would do if you did have the cell phone number of a celebrity. Would you really want to call them up? Would you ACT on that? What in the world could you say? And why would you want to bother someone that you presumably admire? I don't get it....but they say the celebrities that were in Paris Hilton's lost phone book did have their phones ringing off the hook. Weird.

Though I guess I do remember what a thrill it was when Bill called me up to arrange that charity dinner thing. Even though I knew that either he or his agent would call,I was still pretty much stunned spitless when I answered the phone and heard "Hi,this is Bill Sadler."

I guess I was over that sort of thing by the time I met Bill. I do remember, though, having a very professional-sounding, friendly discussion with Rene Auberjonois on the phone once, then hanging up afterwards and squealing for about 5 minutes straight!

See,that's funny because although I adore Rene's work...he reminds me too much of my teen-age boyfriend for me to think that I would ever be nervous talking to him.

Completely Understandable.

I once had a HUGE crush on Basil Rathbone in his performance of Sherlock Holmes....I even named my dog after him...Sweet Basil Rathbones.

Happy Bday MsCarolyn...sorry it's belated.

and as far as the cell phone number, i would tear it up into a million pieces and try to forget it. You would make the person you admire think you're a freak really quick if you called them up out of the blue.

What I do find a shame is that after 9/11 the studios got really worried about mail,so they wouldn't accept letters written to actors unless it was a postcard. I don't know if they've eased up on that at all. But I like to send the occasional "I'm enjoying your perfromance" note to an actor that I think is really doing a great job.
