Tru Calling Episode Review

Season: 2
Episode Number: 5
Episode Title: Enough

LIKES
- We first see the beginnings of Jensen's storyline really evolve when he is brought back when he should not have been. I especially liked the ending where he said it felt like deja vu.
- The Tru/Jack scene at the park. Excellent dialogue!
- Carrie's clever manipulations. I would have loved to have seen her character evolve as well, especially her relationship with Davis and how she deceives him
- Harrison's haircut!!


DISLIKES
- Not the strongest episode story-wise. I think they could have done a better job with Jensen's death here.
- Jack & Jensen. The moments between them were a bit overplayed in my opinion. Yes, I understand Jack was trying to get his death on track, but much of it felt too contrived.

Avery, but she's not of the biggest importance in this episode. I still would have liked to have seen more of her though. Epecially in later episodes of Season 2 and I would have liked to have seen a relationship blossom between Harrison and Avery. So cute!!

Episode Title: CLOSURE

LIKES
Harrison's interviews OH my god I SO love Harry.
Meredith and Davis date Poor Davis, I love how she ditched him with motorcycle guy both times. Oh and Davis says "Are you a Lord Of The Rings Fan?" on both days *snicker*
Jake calling Tru a guardian Angel, it was sweet and it was nice for someone to be greatful and accepting of her help instead of fighting her or calling her a freak and only thanking her AFTER she already saved them
Jake's whole "I'll die and I won't remember her face" speech, it made me teary. Usually that kinda cheese puts me off but what can I say, the TC writers rock

DISLIKES
-Only a 6/10, there have been better episodes plus I hated that Jake died
-Her speech to her Dad. I didn't like it. It was criptic for one thing, considering he isn't supposed to know what she does and it was a little stupid to me. Her "I don't want to be found." She could have just said "I know who I am and don't need your approval."

WHAT CHARACTERS DO YOU FEEL HAVE DEVELOPED THE MOST?
We got to see more of Meredith in this episode? Tru and Davis friendship developed. I liked their talk about Jake. When Davis told her she really saved Jake's girlfriend and that she didn't fail Jake.

WHAT CHARACTERS DO YOU FEEL HAVE DEVELOPED THE LEAST?
Luc. He's boring. And more Harrison would have been nice

Tru Calling Episode Review

Season: 1
Episode Number: 11
Episode Title: The Longest Day

LIKES
Everything. This was one of the best episodes of TC IMO. Actually this was one of the best episodes of any Television show ever. I loved it. Everytime I watch this episode I cannot even fathom that this show was canceled. This show was so brilliant I cannot believe a show this great is being passed over for the **** we call entertainment nowadays. Rant over.
I loved Tru rewinding multiple times.
I love Harrison being evicted and causing mucking it up no matter whose house he went too
I loved her idiot roommate....that part was Always LOL. Especially when she sings it to him before he gets a chance to sing it for her and asks her to be in a band because they have a "mental link"
The interaction between Davis/Harrison was priceless. Davis had Harrison eat the bad sandwich so he would get sick!
And the story to this episode. The story was so beautiful. I always cry at the end always. And I don't cry easily. The only television show that ever made me cry harder then The Longest Day was Grey's Anatomy when Denny dies. This episode was just...so beautiful and heart breaking. Michael died for his daughter. He wanted Tru to save his heart.

DISLIKES
Nothing. This episode was a 10/10

WHAT CHARACTERS DO YOU FEEL HAVE DEVELOPED THE MOST?
Tru developed in this episode alot. We got to see her realize more about her job. She thought she had it figured out but she didn't. Again she learns she can't save everyone.

I can do things that probably no one else can. Sometimes even that doesn’t feel like enough
DAVIS
Sometimes it isn’t
Tru is such a good person. Even though she KNEW there was no way on earth she could save Michael and his daughter, she wanted to. It broke her heart that she couldn't. Ack, Lara I can see why Tru is your role model. I'm just a little bit in love with her.

WHAT CHARACTERS DO YOU FEEL HAVE DEVELOPED THE LEAST?
Luc again. All he did was whine every time Tru had to leave and he didn't even fix her sink right. Oh and Lindsay wasn't in it at all. She's pretty and I like when she'd in the episodes Meredith wasn't in it either.

This is definitely one of my favorite eps from Season 1! Thanks for providing such an awesome review for it! I probably couldn't have done that good! I love the lines you quoted under "Memorable Quotes". We really do see the development of Tru's character and I love how emotional she gets throughout the course of it. And at the end with Michael dying and all of the emotion behind it. I think Jon Feldman (creator) was really impressed with Eliza's performance from what he said about her on the DVDs. Also, this ep was one of Eliza's personal favs!

Yes, it is for reasons like these that Tru is my heroine! She really is the perfect role model. Sometimes I wish she was my older sister or something, but now I am almost the same age as she is!

God, I can't believe this show got canned It COULD have become as big as my BTVS obsession if it had only run a little longer. I think besides BTVS, this is the best show out there. So much potential that was lost

No, it wouldn't have b/c I would've been too lazy to put in all of the good quotes like you did!

This IS my favorite show hands down! It's not that I'm bashing Buffy, but I think there's something about Tru's character that I can relate to so much more than Buffy or any of the characters on Buffy. It's a very special show to me in so many indescribable ways I cannot even begin to say! And I only realized this AFTER the show was cancelled! Go figure, right?

I watched 'Twas the Night Before Christmas... Again, so I'll def. be putting up a review for that when I get the chance. So many good Tru/Jack moments among other things that gave the show so much potential! And this scenes between Tru and Jensen are just damned creepy now that we all know who he really is and what he represents!
