| I have to say, I don't like that Eliza is a hunter. But it is hardly worse than the billions of people that have others kill animals for their benefit. Yes, I'm a vegetarian and an animal rights activist. I had to help a patron (I work part-time at the library, hopefully a temporary gig until I get a better job) locate the hunting and fishing book section today. Grrr. I really love watching ED on screen. She is so incredibly sexy and beautiful. And she seems like she has a great personality. She would be cool to hang out with and have fun. I've been a vegetarian for 10 years now, not really an active activist but passive by membership for several animal activists groups. | September 12 makes seven years I've been Vegetarian. I'm going to become an Organic Vegan. I would have sooner but fruits and vegetables are really expensive. It is hard to be broke and eat ethically. At the moment I'm not very active in helping animals. Though I am very vocal about animal rights. I still can't pass the meat/butcher section "Isle of Death" at the grocery store without bitching out loud about the meat industry and giving dirty looks to whoever I see shopping in that area. Thanksgiving is definitely the worse holiday for me. My family gets a earful for the dead turkey every year. As it was I would complain about the holiday's shady roots with the mistreatment and massacre of Native Americans. I want to be more active but I need a steady job first. I really love PETA, Greenpeace, the Jane Goodall Institute, Best Friends, Food for Life, ASPCA, New Life Parrot Rescue, and all of the other animal rights and environmental organizations but I don't have the cash to donate. As soon as I get a better job I am going to start my own animal rights group as well as donate to others. I really want to intern at P.E.T.A. for a summer. For a long time I wanted to join the Peace Cor but I would much rather be helping animals. My heart hurts whenever I think about vivesection, hunting, the meat industry, fishing, fur and leather, etc. Did you ever watch the documentary Earthlings? I had to stop it every two minutes. | Its about animal rights and has footage of some really disturbing cases of animal abuse/torture/murder. It was a good documentary but by far the hardest thing I've ever had to watch. It showed animals being butchered in factory farms, a dog being thrown alive into a garbage truck to be compacted, factory farm workers dropping cement blocks onto animal's heads, etc. Have you ever been on the Care2 website?
