This is the announcement from the SaveAngel.org crew about their Faith spinoff campaign:

More than a year ago SaveAngel.org was started to keep our favorite series and the Whedonverse on the air. The brilliant writing and great acting brought us together from all over the world to fight for the characters we love so much. Well, Angel is no longer on the air and we were supposed to fade away by now. But that script just doesn't work for us, so we're tossing it.

It’s been seven months since the last Angel episode. Have you watched anything that even comes close to giving you that same thrill you felt watching Angel and Buffy? We haven’t either. The best chance to get our favorite Angel and Buffy characters back on TV is to fight for an Angel spin-off featuring Faith.

Calling on the same indomitable spirit with which we began this fight, we’re launching our campaign for Faith: the Vampire Slayer to bring our favorite characters and writers back to television.
