Hmph. I don't have any songs written about me.
I do agree that "Eleanor Rigby" is, if not the best, then one of the very best songs that the Beatles wrote. Most definitely. I've been listening to "You Never Give Me Your Money" quite a bit lately, partially because I've been re-reading "Liverpool Fantasy" by Larry Kirwan, and attempting to write a fanfic about it. Somehow, the song grafts itself onto the story. It's a wonderful song anyway, with the plaintive beginning, then I think possibly Ringo coming in with that sudden "Out of college, money spent..." bit. And the "1 2 3 4 5 6 7, all good children go to heaven" part is a little scary and angelic at the same time. I think I know what the song is about. I'm just not sure what it was written about. If that makes sense. __________________

Wow. I'm trying to fit in some of the songs in my next fic chapter, too. I want this scene where the characters try to describe the female lead by switching through Beatles songs, kind of a comedic scene. So far, I've only got "Eleanor Rigby," "Michelle," "Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds," "Honey Pie," and "Maggie May." Can't remember any other song titles with women's names in them.

Lovely Rita, meter maid!
I've taken to calling meter maids "Ritas". As in, "A Rita put a ticket on my bloody windshield again." __________________

*sobs* I LOVE THIS SITE!
The most meaningful song to me would probably be Let it Be because when I was a little kid and I was given a kiddy electronic keyboard one Christmas, it had demo songs on it and one of them was Let it Be, I always listened to it over and over again. The most emotionally meaninful songs for me would be We Can Work it Out, Here Comes the Sun, A Day in the Life and With a Little Help from my Friends. Here Comes the Sun makes me cry though...I don't know why, maybe because I lurvle George and I miss him...Imagine makes me cry too __________________

Okay, now I have Here Comes the Sun playing in my head and now I'm sad, too, 'cause I miss George. Ugh. Never thought of it that way.

Aww. I love 'Here Comes the Sun'. Even though I miss George, though, it makes me happy because I think of Summer...a time when there is no school.

For me, the most meaningful are "Yesterday", "Let It Be", and "Here Comes the Sun".
"Yesterday" is so lovelorn and quiet, and ahhh so good, while "Let It Be" has this grand scope to it. And "Here Comes the Sun" is so hopeful and lovely. I listened to it last night, and was just like "Yes, all is right." __________________
