Most Meaningful Song?

Which Beatle song has the most meaning to you, and why?

In My Life seems to have the most meaning to me, because it basically tells a story about how life is. How people come and go in your life, but you will always remember them.

Yesterday also has a lot of meaning to me, because it was the last song I heard, before my grandma died.

I was listening to "A Day in the Life" when I found out that my grandfather had died. I remember that moment every time I hear it.

Octopuses Garden was the first song my daughter sang (so cute! I have her on tape ) and my grandmas favourite song was Yesterday, which they played at her funeral. So thats what I think of whenever I hear those two songs.

"Paperback Writer" has a LOT of meaning to me because it jibes so well with what I do--I write columns. And "Eleanor Rigby" makes me cry every time I hear it.
On the other hand, "Revolution Nine" makes me giggle hysterically.

Well the song Anna has alot of meaning to me and my parents. When they were teens it came out and my dad would sing it to my mother. Her Nameis Emma so he changed it from Anna to Emma. My dad still sing it to her. I think it's sweet!

For me another song that has alot of meaning is Here comes the sun. Just because of how much I love George.

Actually, "Blackbird" means a lot to me too because my mom used to sang it to me when I was young. I always thought it was just a nursery song until I heard the White Album.
It's interesting when that happens--you hear a song all your life, and then you hear it for the first time by the original artist.

I'm not sure really. I just wanted to say that I enjoyed reading everyone else's responses, though. I can't think of any one song at the moment that means more to me than any others.

Now that I think about it, I'd say I'm Happy Just To Dance With You for one, because it was in this Barbie movie I absolutely adored when I was little, so it always makes me happy.
Also, We Can Work it Out because it's the song my (ex) best friend said she'd play for me if we ever had a fight.

Ir's funny how I never came over here in this board, while I'm a huge fan of the Beatles.

I think the most meaningful song has to be [i]All you need is love.
I can make an essay on why this song is so meaningful, but the title speaks for itself. Cause in the end, love is indeed all we need.

yep

Another meaningful song would be We can work it out
I know that the song is about two lovers, but I think it can totally apply to people in general. I've always thought that there are two distinct messages in this song.

First message would be of tolerance. The lyrics "Try to see it my way / Do I have to keep on talking till I can't go on / While you see it your way [...] Think of what you're saying : You can get it wrong and still you think that it's all right / Think of what I'm saying"
Those lyrics can so apply to people and general and how everyone should try to see it from others' eyes from time to time. The society would be way more tolerant that it is most of the time. Eh, I even think of those lyrics when I get too much worked up when posting on the News&Politics board!

Second message, and the most obvious would be on life : "Life is very short and there's no time / for fussing and fighting, my friend / I have always thought that it's a crime"
I particularly love that passage in the song. The music is awesome and no words can be truer.

I think the most meaningful song for me is Yellow Submarine. My friends and I were used to sing it very often when we were younger. That's why istening to this song reminds me of my childhood, that I miss.

I really like Something. Wouldn't say it's the most meaningful, I'm a new fan so I'm still sifiting through their songs. The songs I mostly listened to from them before were the happy fast ones like "Penny Lane" and "ob la di ob la da"

As for John Lennon...defintely "Woman" love how he whispers "For the other half of the sky" in the beginning. Close second is "Working Class Hero" and "God"

Okay, I can keep going so I'll stop there,
