Because after he got his soul back he didn't think he deserved Buffy and after what happened he didn't think she would ever love him and that was before their last nights together which I think could have changed things some in his mind.
I still partly think he believed her at first but as time went on and couldn't go to her started to doubt it. __________________

I agree. I think she loved Spike a long time before realizing it.
 This makes me think he believed her. SPIKE Buffy! Is she— ANGEL She's OK. SPIKE Where—where is she? ANGEL Europe, last I heard from her. SPIKE Wanna see her... Wanna talk to her. Spike is saying they had something meaningful obviously.
Then he got insecure because Angel kept saying he didn't mean anything to Buffy a lot.  __________________

I love that whole scene where she hangs out in Spike's crypt and then go to play kitten poker. They were so cute together.
 (That was the episode where we first meet Clem. I really loved that character. I wish there'd been an episode that explored Spike and Clem's friendship. It would have been hilarious.) |
