Somebody on Tumblr pointed out that it seemed weird that Buffy was sitting over there with Spike instead of the scoobies.

Buffy felt comfortable being with Spike when she couldn't be around anyone else. She could rely on him when she couldn't rely on anyone else. Buffy inspired Spike to get back his soul. So in a way, they really are soulmates though I don't even know what it means

It's funny that people consider Bangel as soulmates when he lost his soul cause of Buffy.

Good point
Spike's love for Buffy inspired him to fight for his soul. Buffy's love for Spike helped her win the war that seemed lost. Their love for each other saved the world. Honestly if soulmates applies to any couple it is Spike and Buffy. __________________

Beautiful gif and I totally agree with everything. Spike was the one Buffy chose to spend one of the hardest nights in her life with, when everyone turned their backs on her, when it would have been so much easier to just stay alone and be depressed over your life and over the fact that it seems almost impossible to win. Yet Buffy trusted Spike again, she let him in, she opened up to him, she cried at his words and she slept in his arms. He gave her the strength no one else could give her.
