It just took about 20 years for Spike/Buffy to have actual real promotion.

Yet look how popular they became without it.

You know if we didn't have a SMG/JM thread Spuffy would be in the 400's now.

We talk a lot about Spuffy in the JM/SMG thread. But without it, the thread would be 25% he's so pretty 25% she's so pretty 30% hookup speculation l5% other couples that made us think of them 5% why won't they work together again?

I get sick of reading fans say so many ships are the new Spuffy or so like them.

Then I try to think that fans miss Spuffy & are looking for them in other ships.

Sorry but Spuffy are the orig. out of the ships that I know are trying to be the new Spuffy.

Hook & Emma really are like an AU Spuffy written by someone who has a yen for fairytales. The way he dresses and talks and used to be a villain. How she's the Savior but is still learning how to get her life together.

Jane the first Spuffy shipper out of all the writers is writing them. Love that all writers shipped them by Season 7. Fury coming around was huge.

I love that Jane had the note on her desk that Buffy had sex dreams about Spike long before the show went there.

I feel like it makes sense that both would mixed up with the trying to kill each other.

We are so Spuffy obsessed right now that we have talked about them here & OT.
