S1 is highly underrated.
Things like a demon named Angel that moves to the Hellmouth to be a guardian angel of sorts to a human with demon essence in her and try to find salvation through her. The metaphors and quantum mechanics. Our internal (fears, passions, personalities) becoming external (nightmares, invisible girl, etc.). __________________

I haven't watched Season 1 in years. I think way back when they showed Buffy on FX.
 It might of went over my head back then too. __________________

Well in was one of my least fave seasons for one thing.
Buffy comes on FX sporadically in the mornings. Basically the last episode might have been shown 2 days ago on Thur. at 7am. They are now showing the next on Sat. at 7am. __________________

Sarah on The Walking Dead. Imagine her cutting a swath through a horde of zombies! Georgia heat causing her skin to glisten and her clothes to hug her body. Showing off her tried and true "depressed and stressed but getting things done" acting tour de force.

Jaime, since you said Game of Thrones is too bleak for you to watch, you wouldn't like The Walking Dead. It is similiar in tone. Everybody dies and nobody is happy.
