I hate living in a small town. i mentioned Buffy at work yesterday and none of the others had even heard of it. One of the girls (16) thought it was about a dog!

Maybe it is because Buffy's name may seem a little weird to people who never heared about the show?
 But yeah, I know what it's like. I used to live in a smaller town but only me and my friend were Buffy fans out of all the people I knew.I think Spuffy didn't need to be promoted as the OTP of the show, it proved it's epic status by how powerful and natural they were. There was nothing forced about it, yet it was impossible to not notice how much of a big deal they were. They were loved, hated, but no one stayed irrelevent to them. __________________

I can understand that. I've heard of dogs being called Buffy before.
Both Spike and Buffy are dog names.  __________________
