From the Q&A report of JM at his latest con, he says: Spuffy would have worked out, but he thinks Spike blew it. He takes credit for pairing Spuffy, he wanted a reason other than the chip for him to not kill Buffy. Joss gave a "uh huh, that's interesting," so he told the writers that he had a little thing for Sarah, to plant the seed for him loving Buffy. But it came back to Sarah, who he loved as a sister. "Joss told me, don't lie." So he just stared at her. Years later, on AtS, he told Joss that Sarah told him that Joss told her that James had a crush on her, and Joss gave a big "Oops!" *hands over mouth and eyes wide* "Ididn'tdoitIdidn'tmeantosaythatItwasn'tmeOops"

Bwahahahahahaaaaa!!!!! But thank you God he's finally saying something different for a change other than the usual Buffy wubs Angel and only Angel crap. In a roundabout way he's actually admitting Buffy had real feelings for Spike. And I totally agree with him about Spike being the one to blow it. Cuz yeah, he messed up big time. James is also back to talking about his experience on BTVS as a positive one. Time and distance must have done him some actual good I guess. Whoo, that's a relief.

Anyway, yeah, I believe you James. You were just pretending about the crush. Riiight. Because wanting to hook up on screen (which would entail a certain amount of kissing and heavy petting) with someone who's like a "sister" to you isn't at all a contradiction.

Q's: Most people remember where they were and what they were doing on September 11. Where were you and what were your thoughts about that day?

I was filming on the set of Buffy. Sarah stopped filming, shut down the set, and she and I went with her mother to try and find a place of worship to pray and to get some silence. We were the only two New Yorkers on that show.

I don't know if any of you believe in astrology, but it seems to be pretty darn accurate to me most of the time. If you didn't know, James is a Leo and Sarah is an Aries. Here's some interesting things I found about their signs together.

SMG/JM Rumors!
Before SMG got officially engaged to Jr., I have it on rumor (I know of people who saw them together, honest) that yes, J and S were definitely an item. (Again, I was called a big fat liar for this, but I'm only writing what acquaintances saw happen).
There was a ring, supposedly, on S's right finger and it wasn't put there by Jr. Supposedly, what happened in Smashed was not acting on either characters part.
It was soon after that Jr. popped the question officially and supposedly, that was that.
You are right, the chemistry between S and J came right off the TV and I honestly believe what I was told.
There's alot more to this story, but I won't post it here because I don't want to piss everyone off.

Yes, I have every reason to believe that at one time J & S were an item and frankly, I think this is why someone else was on the set in Season 7, even though he'd been asked to butt out!
Okay, before this turns into pure gossip???
If you look at the footage and the sheer chemistry on Buffy, I'm thinking 'YES' but I decided to take a (slightly) closer look.

Most of us know that it's not the person you're seen with all the time that's the real threat- it's the one you're rarely seen with in public who is the danger (yes, you can thank Desperate Housewives for that little tidbit). There is exactly one- count it ONE - picture of the two of them together during their years on Buffy.
We know they were friends, we know that he defended her to all of the gossiping tongues around the set, but there is only one picture of their 'close friendship'.

I am by no means a body language expert, but JM is a normally very jumpy person. In this pic, he is extremely relaxed, genuine soft smiles by both, not to mention his hand on her hip (friends almost always put their hands on a girl's shoulder because a hand on the hip is very intimate). And let's face it- SMG's hips are extremely close to him!

I think they totally fit. Yeah I do think Art imatated life here. James was totally in love with her and she was definetely into him too but probably got with Freddie partly to help her career. I saw a pic of Freddie and SMG recently in a magazine. They were posing in public and by the body language you wouldn't even know they were a couple. They weren't even holding hands. SMG and JM I bet had the whole friends with benifits relationship. Things got complicated cause they both fell for each other. So many things are keeping them apart though.
