I remember seeing that posted with Giles journal some time.
 I can't fathom how anyone doesn't believe Buffy was in love with Spike. We even have the slip in First Date to Willow.  Why does everybody in this house think I'm still in love with Spike?  __________________

Joss is so confusing. Because apparently it made him frustrated that people were shipping Buffy/soulless Spike and he kept making their relationship more and more toxic to get people to stop shipping them (citation: multiple JM interviews)...but then he wrote S7? And made Spike the romantic hero? SO...why'd he try to annihilate the ship if that was his destination then? IDGI. Also, you can't write scenes like their kiss in OMWF and be shocked when people ship it. You just can't.
