Good episode. I wonder how SMG drew those circles. Simon mentioning Sydney's mom being in Europe made me wonder if they'll ever bring her on. Who do you think should play her?

I'm not sure.

I got shipper vibes with Sydney/Andrew.

What do you think?

I love how the episodes end with sweet convo's between Simon and Sydney.

I really love their bond. I don't think I've seen such bond between a father/daughter that felt this real on TV/Movies.

It would be interesting to see Sydney's mother eventually.

I used to want SMG to be the Mother on HIMYM.

I loved how Sydney was So worried about her binder when there was a fire.

Yeah, the whole fire thing was funny. I think they are teasing something with Sydney and Andrew for sure. I liked their scene. In retrospect, the duck episode with Simon having Andrew watch the ducks and mentioned how he wanted to take his future grandchildren there and how its the most important project he could have given could have been foreshadowing too.

For a comedy these characters have a lot of sadness to them, like Simon/Sydney scene addressing how he wanted her to have a life outside of work and didn't want her to end up like him. I think that's what sets this apart from the other comedies on air and makes it more interesting.

I think they could make a cute couple.

I didn't remember that.

Yeah it does seem like this show has a little bit of everything.

That scene with Simon and Sydney really was touching but I feel like all their heart to hearts are.

I did miss SMG in the bloopers.

Have you watched?

It's gotten picked up for the rest of the season.

It does look like they might do something with Sydney/Andrew.

Not that its really surprising. You can't have the Ice Queen go after the charming attractive guy who every other woman likes. The Ice Queen is not like any other woman who falls for easy tricks. Only the inner beauty of the special guy can melt her heart.

Loved the kiss scene BTW. Its almost something like Joss would do, making fun of a common trope and all. Sarah was fantastic BTW.

I had thought eventually they would bring on a love interest.

I think it's funny that we get another Andrew as her love interest.

I didn't expect them to do it so early though. I expected it later in a Valentines Day episode or something(which I guess we'll get nonetheless). But I was sure that it'll be Andrew or a random guy first and then Andrew. Not 100% that they'll stay together forever but TBH I'm expecting that too.

No I didn't expect a real love interest soon.

I didn't expect it to be any of the cast.

That was the first thing I thought.

Yes it should have been a random good looking guy who she kicks out at the end of the episode after learning an important love related lesson.

Mind you we can still get it before the Andrew thing turns serious.
