 I already ranted about it on my FB page so yeah I always hated reboots and that they do it with Buffy really creams my corn.__________________

They are claiming now it's not a full reboot but I think it's b/c of the backlash.
I think they wanted it for the attention on the project. They orig. said the char. name was gonna be Buffy but now saying this isn't true. It's another slayer at least now but I think it's just b/c of backlash was so bad. They dropped this with a vague a poss. info just that the char. was Buffy & was gonna be African American. They knew that fans would react bad but it they just wanted attention for it. They orig. said they hadn't wrote a script yet too. So they knew what they were doing. It's now another slayer & her group of friends. They are claiming that's what it was all along. I'm not buying though. __________________

I now think they just dropped the news with as little as info as poss. with the char will be Buffy & African American just to get reactions to the project.
They planned this & then after getting everybody upset the new writer swooped in after waiting days to say no it's not a full reboot. They didn't have to wait days to tell us this! This was such a huge thing it trended on Twitter! __________________
