I agree I prefer Faith and her arc from being an evil, unhinged slayer to redeeming herself and becoming good again. I do wish Kendra didn't die though. Last time I watched the series though, I didn't like her as much as I used to. Not in a bad way, I just found her too be too stiff and square compared to Buffy and Faith. I think Joss or someone said Kendra fell for Drusilla's spell and died so easily cause she didn't think outside the box more or something like that. I can see that cause she was just TOO textbook IMO.

Kendra sadly wasn't complex enough to me.
I haven't watched the show in ages but I'm pretty sure we didn't get much about her other than she was the basic slayer. It's actually very sad that she never got to have a life besides slaying & then died at only like 16 years old. It doesn't sound like she even had any kind of childhood either. __________________

No, no childhood. Pretty sure her parents gave her up when they learned her identity and she spent the rest of it training for her calling. No friends, no family.
 That’s why Joss gave her the last name Young smh  If Kendra has lived, I think hanging out with Buffy would have brought her out a lot more. __________________
