If Joyce had stayed around Buffy would have sent Joyce out of town with Xander and Dawn. Maybe dawn wouldn’t have chloroformed Xander and came backto help.

It's honestly strange to even think of Joyce in the last 2 seasons.

I read it in fic many times but those are fix it fics not actual ones that make sense with Canon.

Was it ever clear if the Joyce that warned Dawn in Conversations with Dead People was actually Joyce or the First?

I can’t remember and I swear every time I watch that episode I’m still not sure.

Even Joyce’s warning “When the time comes- Buffy won’t choose you.” When all buffy ever did was choose Dawn and put her needs as a priority. The only thing I could think of that might be even related to that is Buffy sending Dawn off before the big battle but she was doing that to keep her safe. I’m sure I could google and find meta on this but I’m just too lazy

I think it was The First.

I think this partly goes with Dawn kicking Buffy out with the Scoobies.

That's just what I think. I don't know anything for certain.
