I also never understood Buffy having a new sister who never made an appearance in the earlier seasons. If you magically put a new sister in the series, please have flashbacks of interaction with Cordelia, Oz, Principal Snyder, The Mayor, Faith, Drusilla, and Angel(us).

They probably didn’t have time with the actual storyline for all of that.

But when Faith sees Dawn in season 7 you know her memories were altered also to include Dawn. So, mostly fans can head canon how Dawn interacted with other characters.

There is gifsets on Tumblr that has all these diff. first meetings of the gang with Dawn.

It's pretty cool.

I saved some but they were in PB don't work anymore.

Buffy had way too many abandonment issues.

Between the men in her life leaving her & the vamp/slayer thing plus Spike not having a soul it's no wonder she did everything she could to push him away.

I mean first her dad Angel Riley even Giles & Buffy got no real say in them staying or leaving. They didn't care about what she wanted.

Well at least it took Spike turning to dust to leave her & he listened when she told him to stay before unlike the others.

I have got to disagree with you on saying the Angel, Riley, and Giles not caring when they thought they were doing the right thing. Angel and Riley felt like they didn't have a choice. At least Riley waited and Angel wanted to leave to protect Buffy. Hank is a different story. He didn't even attend Joyce's funeral.

But I get what you are saying on the other parts.
