I still remember the first time I saw Giles kill Ben.

Oh yeah, I remember I was shocked when Giles killed Ben too. It had to be done though, Glory would of came back for sure, went after Dawn, and tried this plan again.

I just never expected it to be Giles that did it.

He was very Ripper like in that scene to me.

He was right- glory would have been back and Buffy would have paid, probably even the world. He did what he had to do but I agree I didn’t see that coming either. It’s one of my favorite Giles moments tbh, though.
