Ann and I were discussing about how many tv shows have their music changed when they hit DVD. What does everyone else think about this? Is it a good or bad thing?

I think it's bad when the music is memorable in a scene and you remember that scene because of the music. But I guess they need to change it since they can't offer so much money to those artists.

Other from that, I went and saw New Moon today.

Is that the new Twilight movie? I don't really follow the fandom

I can understand why they have to change the music sometimes, but I wish they would buy the rights to use it for the DVDs. Everwood was a show that often had very unique music and I heard that they changed a lot of the music on the DVDs which is a real shame.

Yeah, it's the new movie from the Twilight saga. I thought this one was much better than the first one.

I agree. I find that the newer tv shows, when their DVDs get released, there are fewer or none music changes at all.

I saw my fourth Harry Potter movie yesterday

Still haven't read the books though.

That's the good thing about new tv shows is that I think they buy the music rights right away. But I believe Cold Case doesn't have any DVDs or just the first couple season are out because they use so much music that it's expensive to put in on DVD.

There will be four or five depending if they split up the last book into two movies. I really don't think they should, since the last book didn't have much action in it.

I've read all the HP books and seen all the movies

My friend is a huge fan and she drags me out to see the movies.

Yeah, it would be very expensive if they have a lot of music on there. They have to get the rights from the artists before they can put it on the DVDs.

I think I'm going to buy the fifth movie soon and watch it. And hopefully one day I'll read them.

Who do you ship on the books/movies?

I think it's cool that artist like Madonna are giving shows like Glee the rights to use their music. I mean it's free exposure for the artists.

I'm starting to like Ron/Hermione and I know that's where the books will go (and the movies). You saw something in the fourth movie with the dance. Other than that, I don't really know. Since I haven't read the books and haven't seen all the movies yet, I guess I could ship someone else as well. The fourth movie did have some Harry/Cho in it and I know something happens between them.

I think most of the movies will be sticking to the cannon pairs in the books, since they are basically sticking with the storylines of the books.
