I loved that scene. It's in my Top 3 Drue/Jen scenes list. I think that scene showed that they really had potential. But of course then the writers had to go and ruin it.

Yeah the writers never seemed to want Jen to be happy. I think Drue understood her and maybe they would have been good together. I also loved the scene on the prom boat when he saved her from "falling" into the water. Jen was feeling so down and Drue seemed to have a way of getting her to laugh and see things in a funny way.

I was hoping Dru would have come back in season 5 and go to college with the rest of them.

I was hoping that too. I remember there being talk that he was coming back but then it didn't happen.

i never liked Drue when everything first aired...its only been in rewatching my DVDs that ive come to appreciate him. i think if he couldve accepted the "Capeside Jen" (which i think he started to) and hadnt kept trying to lead her back to her NY ways that they mightve have been good together. its so sad Jen never found happiness in a relationship.

i hated too that Dru had to kiss Joey.

AWW, I love those pics and the quotes. They were just so cute at the prom. I remember once seeing a cut scene from the episode that was posted on the original Dawson's creek website long ago where Dru and Jen are dancing later that night and she says take your hand off my butt (or something) and he says will do. It was so funny and they just kind of laughed about it.

I also remember her telling him to stop following her around. That cut scene was great, I wish they had kept it.
