It's too bad that there aren't a lot of fics but I guess the fact that the show ended so long ago has a lot to do with it.

That, and they really only had one season where they interacted. Had Drue been around for another season or two, it would be a different story, I'm sure.

It would of been. Originally Drue was going to be in S5.

It's one of those DC mysteries that no one can really shed any light on. Or, well, no one ever has. Unless its one the S4 or S5 DVD commentary somewhere.

To my knowledge, no one did.

I would have liked to have known what happened. Really, all I've heard is that they wanted to bring CMM into S5 and that may (or may not) have had an impact Mark being in that season. If that had any truth to it, it would annoy me that they chose to drop a Drue, and a potentially good relationship for Jen, so they could bring in Charlie, just another guy who dumps on her.

I realize that CMM was hot property back then, but Drue was a very well received character and they should have kept him and not bring another guy who screws over Jen.

I agree. I remember Drue was mention in one of the journals on the DC website near the time for the Christmas eppy for S6. I was hoping he would turn up in that eppy.

Those journals mentioned Drue a lot during the summer between S4 and S5.

Maybe they were, but I don't see the reasoning of mentioning Drue in one of the S6 journals.
