Then again, how could he not be?

I think she and Amy would do great work together.

Not sure what they would do, exactly. Hmmm...I think I'd want a balance between serious and funny. Something light-hearted but still meaningful.

I imagine he told her she looked lovely, because that's the kind of thing I would imagine someone who is a relative stranger saying.

Like he bumped into her and said, "Hi, how are you, you look nice," kinda thing.
