Beth and Jenny, if Jack weren't gay (in a perfect world, lol) and you had the chance to write a different storyline, who would you prefer, Jen/Jack or Jen/Pacey? Just wondering

You know...that is a tough question, actually. Mostly because I have a difficult time imagining Jack as being any other way than he was. But in the instance that he were not gay, I would still just Pacey for Jen.

I think a lot of what appealed to me about Jack and Jen was their love truly transcending everything. I liked the idea that they were soulmates but not lovers. It made them special and I think that would hold true even if Jack had been straight.

As for Pacey and Jen, I just liked that they had that friendship with a little something extra...almost like something was always bubbling under the surface between them. I remember when Jen said to Pacey in Four To Tango that there was nothing between them and how hurt they both looked at the idea of it. I would have just liked them to have their chance to be something more than friends with benefits and having Jen be more than the "rebound" between Andie and Joey.
