And I agree with you about the CJP triangle - that would have definitely been hot. It was as if the writing team didn't realise the potential of the Jen/Pacey relationship, which is the only reason I can see for getting rid of it so quickly. I don't think any relationship on the show could have stood up to what P/Jen could have had

Agreed.
The focus was always on other ships on the show and P/Jen never really got the chance or recognition that it deserved. That seems to be the case with a lot of these shows; some relationships are sacraficed to facilitate others. It would have been great, too, because Pacey was already good friends with her best friend. I would have loved to see more Jen/Pacey/Jack stuff too.

DC would have made a much more pleasant viewing experience if I'd only been a DJ or PJ shipper - rooting for Jen and Pacey just left me frustrated most of the time

Maybe. Though, you probably would have found yourself defending your ship to other fans who were of the opposing group.

I started out strictly shipping PJo and I am still a fan but I quickly realized that PJen were my DC OTP because they just had something about them that was more endearing. Witty, quirky, tough...they just had the best chemistry. Without all the crazy drama.

I think they were probably the 3 funniest characters on the show. And all 3 actors had great chemistry with one another. It would have been fun to watch, lotsa laughs for sure.

It would have been a whole different show if it were up to me too.
